CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR GRADUATES

Time is a commodity that everyone possesses the same amount of and it seems to move faster and faster the older we get. The apostle James observed, “What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” The words of James are brought back with great force at this time of year when graduations come around. These two are graduates of McMinn County High School and yet it seems to me that they were just born yesterday.

As Christians we need to be praying for our graduates as they go off to college and careers. Pray that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pray that they will make an impact on their world for the Kingdom of God. We live in an evil world, but the world has always been evil, so we should also pray that they will, in the words of the Apostle Paul, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”
